Singapore and stuff

Whoa has it been over a month?!

Inggit ako sa mga taong may tiyaga (at oras) para mag-u
pdate ng blog. Anyway, just a quick update of things that haven't made it to this page the past six weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to go into detail more... if I ever find the time.

  • Visited Singapore. Sampled the (relatively cheap) cuisine (never spent more than $10 on a meal, saka na 'yung mamahalin 'pag kaya ko na!), killed my back exploring the many many malls along Orchard Road, gawked at the steady stream of luxury cars (E and S-class Benzes are as common there as Toyota Altises are here!) and the completely unaffordable brands that aren't in Manila (Hermes and Jimmy Choo!), went bonkers shopping for electronics in Lucky Plaza and various knick-knacks in Chinatown and Little India, checked out the Singapore Art Museum, briefly visited the First International Pink Dragonboat Council race for breast cancer surviors, relished being able to walk around at midnight with a digicam and not worry about getting mugged, and met up with Rowie at Raffles Hotel's Long Bar to try the famous Singapore Sling. Packed in as much as I could but given we were there less than three full days and the weather was bad, there were a lot of places I didn't get to visit. I seriously want to check out the Night Safari next time, the National Museum of Singapore, the bridge Pacita Abad painted, and catch at least one performance at the Esplanade.
  • Still a one-woman marketing department. Not that I'm complaining, though. :)
  • Not reading as much fiction as I'd like to but burying my nose in multiple business books. Topics of interest? Consumer marketing, marketing management, guerilla marketing, luxury marketing...
  • I'm almost certain that I'm the first person in the Philippines to watch Grey's Anatomy. Heehee. Yes, still incurably obsessed with Meredith, Dr. McDreamy, and the rest of the randy doctors over at SGH.
  • Expanding my Grey's Anatomy playlist on iTunes. Favorite tracks I've recently added: The Mating Game by Bittersweet, Running on Sunshine by Jesus Jackson, Nothing Brings Me Down by Emiliana Torini, Fix Me Up by Tegan and Sarah (all the way back from Season 1, Episode 8), All I Need by Mat Kearney, and Dirty Mind by The Pipettes.
  • Found another crush. Patrick Dempsey is still numero uno, but David Sutcliffe is definitely a cutie patootie worth mentioning. Just saw him in the movie Cake, starring opposite Heather Graham, but he is best known for playing Rory Gilmore's dad, Christopher. Lorelai has to be seriously blind to want Luke if she can have Christopher, I mean, just look at him:

David Sutcliffe played leading man to Heather Graham and Lauren Graham. Just a thought.

Must put Singapore on Must Visit list.

Must watch latest episodes of GA. Must get my own McDreamy (or a McYummy).
